Refund policy
Donations are gifts, so they are not usually refunded. If you gave by mistake, though, we will put it right — please just tell us.

When we will refund a donation
Please contact us within 7 days of the donation date. Within that window we refund donations that were:
- duplicated, through a technical fault or a double click;
- entered for the wrong amount — a mistyped figure or an extra zero;
- made fraudulently, or without the cardholder's permission.
When we will not
We do not refund a change of mind, or dissatisfaction with how funds were used where that use fell within our charitable purposes. Requests made more than 7 days after the donation fall outside this policy, though you are welcome to write to us anyway and we will read it.
How to ask
Email [email protected] and include your full name, the date and amount of the donation, the payment method used, and the reason you are asking. We need all five to find the transaction.
How a refund is paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, normally within 10 working days. We cannot send a refund anywhere else.
If a tax receipt was issued for the donation, it becomes void when the refund is made and cannot be used for a tax deduction.
Unauthorised donations
If a donation was made using your card without your permission, contact us and your bank. We will refund it in full.
Regular giving
Donations made through the button on this website are one-off, so there is nothing to cancel. If you have arranged regular giving with us directly, write to us and we will stop it from the next payment.
